Mark B. Evans is an EMIN-accredited Elder Mediator in South Australia, with a professional background spanning finance, banking, financial planning, management and the law. He has held management positions with national financial organisations, worked as a senior financial planner with several major financial planning organisations , and served in the Australian Defence Force. For ten years, Mark also served as a Special Justice on the bench of the South Australian Magistrates Court.
Mark is also a member of the mediation panel of the Magistrates Court of South Australia and the Small Business Commission SA, bringing further experience in facilitating the resolution of disputes and helping people navigate challenging and often complex circumstances.
Mark brings this broad experience to his work with older people and their families, particularly when difficult decisions about ageing, care, family responsibilities, finances and future arrangements create disagreement. His approach is to help families have constructive conversations in which the older person’s wishes, dignity and voice remain central, while giving family members an opportunity to be heard and work towards practical solutions.
