Helen Clarke is an accredited mediator with the Resolution Institute in New Zealand, holding a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Dispute Resolution). Her passion for helping others navigate difficult conversations is built on her first career as a physiotherapist, where she worked in both the public and private sectors.

Helen’s mediation practice focuses on Elder Mediation, an area where she has experience in mediating resolutions under the Retirement Villages Act 2003. She has also provided mediations within families, helping them plan for the aging journey of the senior generations within their family and manage care for family members with life-changing diagnosis. She has provided conflict coaching to residents, their families, and operators in a trial for a group of retirement villages in New Zealand.

Outside of her professional work, Helen also undertakes volunteer work in this sector. She has brought comfort and companionship to rest home and dementia care residents and staff through her pet visitor work. She is a founding member of a local Cycling Without Age chapter in her home town of Wānaka, where they are working to gain funding to provide piloted bike transport to older adults, giving them the opportunity to experience the joy of cycling.
