Congratulations to Elizabeth Chan who has just successfully completed all the requirements for the Advanced  level of Elder Mediation International Certification.

Elizabeth “Lizzie” Chan (陳曉彤) is an elder mediator, the first Asian to qualify for the EMIN Register of Elder Mediators (Advanced). She is a Consultant at Stevenson, Wong & Co. in Hong Kong, where her practice integrates international arbitration, cross-border litigation, and mediation.

Lizzie began her mediation journey with training from International Mediation Campus, later specialising in elder mediation through courses with Family Mediation Canada. She holds accreditations from the International Mediation Institute and the Singapore International Mediation Institute.

Born in Hong Kong and raised in New Zealand, Lizzie brings a distinctive cross-cultural perspective to her work, particularly in navigating the interplay between Western and Chinese traditions surrounding ageing. Her fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin enables her to mediate effectively across diverse cultural and linguistic settings, making her a trusted guide in assisting with sensitive elder care issues.

As a qualified lawyer in New York, New Zealand, England and Wales, and Hong Kong, Lizzie’s legal expertise is uniquely international. Her decade-long career spans work in those jurisdictions, providing a rich foundation for her elder mediation practice. Lizzie’s dedication to fostering understanding and dignified solutions embodies her commitment to improving the lives of older adults and their families.
