Congratulations to Fiona Murray from Ireland who has successfully completed all the requirements for Elder Mediation International Certification (Cert EM).

Fiona Murray is an elder mediator with over 8 years mediation experience working from one-to-one conflict to multi-party, multi-issue disputes.

Fiona’s practice is compassionate and person centred. She works with a recovery philosophy human rights agenda.  Her open dialogue approach underpins the importance of emotional safety for participants who are experiencing communication difficulty and conflict.  She has worked effectively across different cultures and with parties needing disparate levels of support.

Originally from a background in marketing, psychology and mediation, Fiona has pursued a diverse and varied career in both the public and private sector.  She managed European-funded local development programmes and fostered many new community and business start-ups.  A firm believer in continuing professional development Fiona went on to work in the disability sector for over twenty years, including co-delivery of a mental health programme recognised by the WHO for best practice in mental health.  For the last number of years, she has designed and implemented leadership programmes for on-boarding new directors in companies to ensure smooth integration into their roles and provided change management support to boards and senior leaders.

Throughout her career she has been engaged in helping people to manage change, whether it is in a workplace or home environment. Her background and training have provided her with insights and understanding that lends her a unique ability to support older people and their families through challenges, to make decisions and reach outcomes they determine are right for them.
